Robert Carlos is the founder of the Salsa Warriors Dance Academy. He has been teaching salsa for the last 9 years. he teaches street salsa and is passionate about his unique style. He has taught salsa locally and internationally, He has students in United States, London, France, Singapore and Japan. His team the Salsa Warriors have performed locally at the Bacardi Festival and they have been featured in many paper articles, and have also been featured on Foxtel television.

Because of his high energy style of teaching his international students call him the teachers teacher. His love for dance started as soon as he was walking, He has been undefeated in Sri Lanka for 6 years. Carlos says “I use no way as way, I use no style as style and for me salsa is the ultimate expression of the human soul on fire.” A newspaper reporter once said about the Salsa Warriors after watching them on the dance floor: "I am not stepping in there, it’s too hot, these guys look like they will burn you alive!
